Honeycomb is delighted to be partnering with a Public Sector Organisation for an Administrative Officer within their Health and Well-being department in Newtownards, which offers free parking. This is a temporary position until June 2025, with the possibility of extension.
The Organisation oversees a range of services to the local community and is currently undergoing a period of strategic change, leading to exciting opportunities later this year.
The key purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive general administrative support to the wider team. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 to 5, with an early finish on Fridays, along with attractive holiday benefits.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Word processing
- Maintenance of spreadsheets and databases
- Centralised and localised filing system
- Dealing with general enquiries from the public
- Corresponding on behalf of managers and the department to a range of stakeholders
- Collating and producing management information and reports as directed
- Attending meetings to formally record minutes
- Processing invoices and recording information accurately across stakeholder details
Qualifications: A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
Experience:
- 2 years' relevant administrative experience
- 2 years' experience in dealing with the public by phone and in person
- Experience of using computer software including Microsoft Office
- Experience in minute taking
Desirable: A qualification that demonstrates competent word processing/database skills and the ability to broaden computing experience with other packages (e.g. RSA/OCR II Typewriting/Word Processing/ECDL/CLAIT/ICT or similar).
