The Tenancy Sustainment and Floating Support Officer will deliver high-quality, person-centred support to individuals who are vulnerable and/or have complex needs across the Cheshire East borough.
The role supports customers living within both supported accommodation and their own independent tenancies, helping them develop the skills, confidence and stability needed to maintain safe and secure housing. The role is based within the Cheshire East South Borough/community, and the successful candidate will be expected to attend the Head Office in Stoke-on-Trent each Friday.
What you'll do:
- Complete inductions, risk assessments and personalised support plans tailored to individual needs.
- Support customers with wellbeing, budgeting, benefits and move-on housing to build independence.
- Help customers develop the skills and confidence needed to successfully manage their own home.
- Maintain safe, well-managed properties by carrying out regular health and safety checks and accurate administration.
- Manage a caseload effectively while working with support networks, services and the local community to achieve positive outcomes.
Who you are:
- GCSE level education or equivalent, with experience in a similar or transferable sector, ideally supporting customers with complex needs.
- Strong communication skills with a clear understanding of excellent customer service in a support-based environment.
- Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience in administrative and financial processes such as invoices, expenses and benefits applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems and work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
