The role
As we continue our period of growth, this role will play a key part in strengthening our income management service and supporting investment across our communities. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by driving performance, supporting customers with care and fairness, and helping shape a service that delivers positive outcomes for the future.
This person will be responsible for leading a team of income officers and ensuring our income collection services are the best they can be, processes and systems are streamlined and fit for purpose and targets are met. They will also manage a caseload of complex cases, train customer facing teams and produce reports as required.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee rent and service charge recovery activity across the Group, ensuring performance targets are met.
- Ensure rent setting and service charge processes are completed accurately, on time, and in line with legislation.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to Income Officers, promoting a high-performing, customer-focused culture.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations across income and neighbourhood teams.
- Support debt recovery activity and money advice services, including delivering training and developing team capability.
Who you are:
- Educated to degree level or hold relevant professional or management qualifications.
- Experience of supporting and advising teams in income management within housing services.
- Strong knowledge of affordable housing, income management and relevant legislation, regulation and best practice.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service with a compassionate and customer-focused approach.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
