Referral and Allocation Officer

Salary: £24,880.99 a year

Location: Derby County

Hours per week: 37.5

Contract type: Fixed Term

As a member of our Domestic Abuse Services, you will be providing triage and administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of our co-ordinated response to high risk domestic abuse services in Derbyshire.

What you will do:

  • Act as the first point of contact for enquiries from customers, colleagues and partner agencies.
  • Process referrals and use risk assessment tools to assess suitability for the service.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and notes, and manage resources.
  • Collate data, research and reports to support service development and commissioner reporting.
  • Maintain secure records, work within safeguarding and information-sharing standards, and build strong partnerships with agencies.

Who you are:

  • A strong understanding of relationship abuse, including the dynamics, behaviours and risks involved.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with confidence to ask questions and clarify information.
  • Good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills, including confidence using case management systems and handling confidential information.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative, compassionate approach that values individuals and supports colleagues.
  • A full driving licence with the use of your own vehicle is essential.
  • DBS check required.
