17 August 2026 We are looking for a Locum Doctor (General Practitioner) to cover an assignment with the Ministry of Defence (Mo D), at Weeton Medical Centre, in Preston, Lancashire.
This is a locum role (22 hours per week) and the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to the Mo D service personnel.

Description: Undertake Primary Healthcare (PHC) clinics for Military and entitled personnel.
Examinations and Occupational Health (OH) fitness for work assessments within the locum doctor's scope of experience and qualification.
Inform the local medical authority of any case that may affect a service person's ability to undertake their duties.
Complete reports and documentation in accordance with MOD policy or the requirements of any other government department.
Attend individual management reviews or case conferences with Primary Healthcare (PHC) and/or line management as required.
Essential requirements / Qualifications / Experience Registration with the General Medical Council both on the main register and on the General Medical Council (GMC) GP Register without restrictions.
Current, satisfactory in-date annual appraisal in line with the requirements of the GMC Good Medical Practice (GMP).
Certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults up to and including Level 3 training.
On the UK NHS Performers List and provide an NHS Performer number.
