What the job involves
- Undertake primary healthcare clinics for military and entitled personnel
- Carry out examinations and occupational health fitness-for-work assessments within the locum's scope of experience and qualification
- Inform the local medical authority of any case that may affect a serviceperson's ability to undertake their duties
- Complete reports and documentation under MoD policy or the requirements of other government departments
- Attend individual management reviews or case conferences with primary healthcare and/or line management as required
Qualifications
- Safeguarding children and young people and safeguarding adults certification up to and including Level 3
Registration & licences
- GMC registration on the main register and the GP Register without restrictions
- Current, satisfactory annual appraisal under GMC Good Medical Practice
- Entry on the UK NHS Performers List with an NHS performer number
Experience
- Previous Ministry of Defence experience

- PVG membership (Disclosure Scotland) or Access Northern Ireland certificate
- Existing right to work in the UK, with no restrictions on hours
