Restaurant & deli shift manager/supervisor

Honey & Co Daily is part of the Honey & Co family and it is our newest opening – a casual affair with a buzzing deli, a seated table service area, a lively kitchen and a huge bakery.

We are looking for a shift manager/supervisor with bags of energy, passion and professionalism to join our wonderful team.

We are well known for our friendly and knowledgeable service so a genuine love for this industry is essential. Our standards are very high so yours must be too. It is important that you inspire the rest of the team to maintain our high service standards and have an in-depth knowledge of everything we have on offer

The role is hands-on and you will work closely with the rest of the team, communicating between the sections in the deli, floor and the kitchens to ensure service is running smoothly. Leading by example is crucial.

We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner so you will work a mix of day and evening shifts.

We will consider applicants with prior managing experience or candidates with extensive experience in a restaurant/café/deli/bakery environment who have worked at a supervisor level or similar.

Your hourly rate will consist of base rate of £12.21 plus a share of tronc.

We have two other restaurants, a deli/shop, a deli/events space and this site, Honey & Co Daily so there is definite opportunity for growth within the company for the right candidate

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Oversee both deli and dining room service, ensuring a smooth flow between teams
• Ensuring we have the most effective seating plan for the shift to maximise service
• Acting on any customer notes, ie. birthdays, allergies, special requests
• Communicating throughout service with the kitchen to ensure that tickets coming through are clear and the pace of orders coming in is smooth
• Training staff on menus and order of service
• Open/close the deli and coffee machine
• Arranging and maintaining displays to look beautiful throughout the day, rotation of items in accordance with H&S standards
• Maintaining our order of service to the highest level, and ensuring all FOH staff do the same, so customers feel looked after from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave
• Forming a connection with our customers, ensuring that they have the best experience and leave excited to return in the future
• Making sure a positive and productive energy is maintained by the team throughout the shift
• Ensuring the restaurant/deli is clean and tidy throughout the shift and H&S records are maintained.
