The Good Egg is an independent, founder-led hospitality business known for generous food, bold flavours and warm, relaxed service. Our original restaurant on Stoke Newington Church Street is an important part of our story — and we're looking for a Restaurant Manager to help write its next chapter. This is an opportunity to do more than maintain a good restaurant. We want someone who will take genuine ownership of the site: lead a brilliant team, deliver memorable hospitality and build a thriving, profitable neighbourhood business.
You'll:
Lead excellent services and build lasting relationships with guests and the neighbourhood.
Recruit, train and inspire a confident, happy and accountable team.
Take ownership of sales, labour, costs and profitability.
Improve systems and standards while keeping hospitality at the centre of everything.
Spot and deliver opportunities across breakfast, retail, catering and local marketing.
You're an experienced restaurant leader with excellent people skills, commercial judgement and genuine enthusiasm for food and hospitality. You lead by example, understand how a restaurant makes money, stay calm under pressure and turn ideas into action. You're a builder, not simply a maintainer.
35,000–£38,000 per annum including service charge.
45 hours per week, normally across five days.
