We’re looking for a Production Assistant to join our Cakery Department, supporting our pastry chefs and bakers in producing cakes, traybakes and patisserie items. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with food, likes being part of a supportive team, and takes satisfaction in seeing beautifully made products leave the kitchen each day. Whether you already have kitchen experience or are looking to build a career in bakery or pastry, we’ll provide training and support to help you develop.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting pastry chefs and bakers with daily cake and bake preparation
- Weighing ingredients and assisting with production tasks
- Portioning, finishing and packing products ready for delivery
- Following recipes and production plans carefully
- Keeping workspaces clean, organised and safe throughout the shift
- Helping with deliveries, stock rotation and ingredient storage
- Working together as a team to meet daily production deadlines
What We’re Looking For
- Bakery, kitchen or food production experience helpful but not essential
- A positive attitude and reliable approach to work
- Someone who enjoys working with food and takes pride in quality
- Good attention to detail and organisation skills
- Comfortable working in a busy production environment
- Flexible with early starts when required
