Role Overview

Honest Safety is seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Health & Safety Consultant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and a genuine desire to improve workplace safety while empowering employers. As a small growing consultancy, you will benefit from a variety of experiences and the opportunity to grow with the business working directly with the business owner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional health and safety advice, audits, and consultancy services.
  • Support organisations in meeting statutory requirements.
  • Develop pragmatic, tailored safety solutions.
  • Assist with risk assessments, policies, incident investigations, and compliance documentation.
  • Support construction safety oversight including Principal Designer/Contractor duties.
  • Help clients navigate emerging legislation such as the Building Safety Act.
  • Advocate for technology-led H&S tools and modern solutions.

Essential Requirements

  • 2–3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably within an organisation.
  • Degree-level education (or equivalent).
  • Minimum Level 3 H&S qualification and CertIOSH status.
  • Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to simplify complex requirements.
  • Passion for improving workplace safety.
  • Clean driving license.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with digital H&S platforms.
  • Creative problem‑solving abilities.
  • Experience with construction safety, built environment or managing H&S within a high-risk environment.

Location

This role is hybrid with no fixed office, you will need to be based in London or the home counties and will be required to travel at our clients' requests. Expenses will be paid for all business travel.

Salary

Rewards: Discretionary bonus may be available based on business performance, annual training allowance, 3% pension contribution, 21 days holiday + Bank Holidays, death in service.

Dependent on experience we are offering £30,000 - £40,000.
