At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

Role:
This role is the lead for the insights and Data strategy in Direct Sales Operations Department business in HME UK.

You will work specifically on Direct Sales (Retailer Sales Funnel and Order to Delivery Process) to define and develop the reporting structure within the department. Reporting into the Direct Sales Performance Section Manager.

You will support and develop analytics, insights and recommendations that drive incremental volume, profit, and customer satisfaction through the sale of cars. The role will advise and communicate with senior stakeholders across the business to develop business direction driven by data.

Main Responsibilities:

  • You will lead the insights, data strategy and performance reporting in HME UK’s Direct Sales Department.
  • You will be developing and setting up our data strategy and reporting structure to ensure it delivers to the highest standard utilising multiple sources. This will include the setup of our full automotive vehicle roll out on Salesforce and regular testing of reporting functionality.
  • Through turning data into operational insights, you will contribute to the financial and volume performance of the UK business. You will identify key areas for improvement across a large range of channels including lead management, campaign strategies, sales support, and customer satisfaction, and drive measurable change through all parts of the Honda organisation.
  • You will support analytics with a significant pool of stakeholders, including HME UK senior leadership team, IT, Marketing, Field Team and our internal Associates. You must understand their needs and develop them smartly to ensure you embed change that drives revenue, profit, Retailer performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Influence and mould decision-making processes through data-driven recommendations. Able to communicate data insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ownership for all analytics and insights for the Direct Sales Department and able to present to all levels of stakeholders simply, to drive and improve performance within the Honda sales funnel.
  • Utilise statistical methods and analytical tools to perform data analysis. Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data through robust quality control processes.
  • Ability to identify trends, patterns and opportunities within data sets to translate findings into actionable insights that drive business growth and profitability.
  • You will support the insights strategy including helping to determine Honda’s KPI and goals, alongside significantly inputting into Honda’s future roadmap and approach.
  • You will implement the on-going development and automation of dashboards and reporting which deliver against stakeholder requirements and analytical best practice.
  • You have a passion for research and keep fully up to date with competitor activity and can turn these insights into meaningful business recommendations.

Qualifications, skills and experience:
Required

  • Proficient in Excel and Power BI.
  • Ability to learn new reporting tools quickly in a complex fast paced environment.
  • Ability to take multiple insights from analytics and customers.
  • Highly organised, analytical, and technically minded.
  • Proficient in various data analysis techniques and procedures and accustomed to handling large data sets.
  • Excellent report definition and presentation abilities.
  • Understanding of the HME UK Sales Funnel.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with experience of delivering complex outputs to the most senior business stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Salesforce Reporting, SQL and Tableau.
