At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex‑time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement. Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Reporting to the System Solution Section Manager, this role supports the business departments of Honda Finance Europe by analysing, shaping and delivering business changes aligned to operational needs and business priorities. The role contributes to effective decision‑making by providing structured analysis and clear recommendations to help the business prioritise and deliver change. The role coordinates system solution activities across the full project lifecycle, ensuring systems, processes and procedures are continuously improved and aligned to agreed standards and governance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Business Analysis & Discovery: Lead discovery and analysis activities including workshops, interviews and process review sessions. Gather, analyse and document business requirements using proportionate and appropriate techniques. Define structured requirements using suitable formats such as functional specifications, themes, epics and user stories. Analyse impacts, dependencies, risks and benefits to support informed decision‑making.
- Change Delivery & Configuration Ownership: Own and manage small to medium sized changes and configuration‑led initiatives end‑to‑end, from initiation through to implementation. Manage and coordinate multiple change initiatives in parallel, ensuring effective prioritisation and delivery. Maintain delivery artefacts proportionate to the change including delivery plans, RAID logs, test matrix and implementation approaches. Manage changes in a methodical and controlled manner, maintaining traceability suitable for a regulated environment.
- Stakeholder, Supplier & Workshop Management: Act as a key point of contact between business users, external suppliers and technical teams. Organise and facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, reviews and demonstrations to validate requirements and solutions. Communicate progress, risks and decisions clearly to internal stakeholders. Support knowledge transfer and, where appropriate, small‑group training or user guidance.
- Testing, Release & Transition: Create and manage test scripts in alignment with Test Team and support business test and UAT sessions. Work with Test and Application Support teams to support controlled release into live environments. Ensure effective handover to BAU including documentation and support information.
- Risk, Issue & Reporting Management: Maintain and update RAID logs and elevate risks and issues in a timely manner. Provide regular reporting on progress, outcomes and benefits using appropriate tools. Manage project issues through analysis, prioritisation, supplier liaison and retesting.
- Tools, Data & Continuous Improvement: Use Excel confidently for analysis, reconciliation and reporting. Demonstrate openness and confidence in learning new tools, platforms and system architectures. Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, templates and ways of working.
Required Qualifications, skills and experience:
- Proven experience in a Business Analyst role, or in a closely related role, demonstrating a strong Business Analyst skillset.
- Good understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools and techniques.
- Experience working within a regulated environment with strong compliance and evidence discipline.
- Comfortable managing and delivering smaller changes end‑to‑end following governance processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to translate technical topics into clear business language and impacts.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives.
- Methodical working style with strong documentation and attention to detail.
- Analytical capability for reporting and structured information management.
- Adaptability to quickly adjust to new systems and tools.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Project, Jira and Jira X‑Ray, with exposure to document management systems and workflow.
Desirable:
- Working knowledge on Power BI, Power Query and/or SQL.
- BCS accreditation.
- Experience working in hybrid delivery environments.
- IT or technical background (formal or through experience), with exposure to system architectures and integration patterns.
