At Honda we embrace inclusion in our policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement. Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

Role Reporting to the Sales Planning Section Manager this role is responsible for the management of all HME-UK Motorcycle assets including all administrative aspects of motorcycle internal unit supply. This includes planning and administering internal requirements, through to co-ordinating and administering the sale of our second-hand machines to generate the maximum gross profit possible. Manage and operate the Associate Motorcycle scheme, to ensure maximum resale potential whilst providing a user friendly and professional service to Honda Associates. Manage the initial Registration, and re Taxing of all of HME-UK Motorcycle fleet and provide the resolution of fines from DVLA, Police and Parking Authorities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate all the internal volume requirements for Honda (U.K.) and its business partners
  • Administer all order requirements for Honda (U.K) and its business partners
  • Manage and co-ordinate the asset list of HME-UK and its business partners
  • Manage and co-ordinate the return and subsequent resale of our second hand machines to generate maximum profitability
  • Maintain and present monthly financial statements on the Used bike operation
  • Manage and Operate the Motorcycle ELOP scheme
  • Undertake a full asset stock check once a year
  • Administer fleet insurance claims
  • Minimise our one-time debtors risk
  • Provide ancillary support to the dealer supply desk
  • Re-tax assets as required
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure no fines are received
  • Provide a resolution service for fines received for DVLA, Police and Parking Authorities
  • Register HME-UK Assets (On and Off Road)
  • Fleet Sales Administration Support
  • Support Supply Desk and Accessories Sales as and when required

Required Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Excellent negotiating & selling skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Confident, persuasive and articulate communicator
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive self starter who demonstrates a high level of initiative
  • Proficient PC skills - working knowledge of SAP, Excel & Access would be an advantage
  • Some experience with financial postings an advantage; training will be provided for the right candidate

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of RAV (register a vehicle)
  • Motorcyclist preferred but not essential
  • Confident manual handling of motorcycles
