Description
Homey runs residential conveyancing at scale using its own platform.
We're looking for a Business Unit Manager to maximise profit from this part of the business day-to-day by leveraging technology and operational excellence — optimising both GP and customer experience through full adoption of Homey across every case workflow.
You'll lead Pod Leads, Conveyancers, Interns, the New Business Specialist and Account Manager for this part of Homey, reporting into senior leadership.
Your KPI: gross profit for this business unit.
What you'll do
Drive full adoption of the Homey platform across every case workflow — if it's not on the platform, it's not being managed properly.
Optimise gross profit through operational excellence: caseload allocation, pod performance, and reducing rework.
Give consistent, high-quality feedback into the Homey product roadmap so the tooling keeps getting better for your teams.
Own the day-to-day performance of every role in the team, from Pod Leads down to Interns.
What excellence looks like
Consistently hitting peak gross profit margins and high customer satisfaction scores.
Actionable product feedback that visibly drives improvements in the platform.
A conveyancing operation that runs on data, not on individual heroics.
Requirements
Leadership experience in conveyancing or another high-volume legal services operation — ideally at Operations Manager, Head of Conveyancing or Business Unit Manager level.
A genuine belief in using technology to remove manual work, not just talking about it.
Comfort working towards P&L targets and being accountable for GP margin.
Credibility with SRA-regulated fee earners and the operational discipline to run a multi-pod caseload at scale.
Benefits
Base £50,000–£70,000 plus performance bonus.
Day-to-day ownership of one of Homey's largest revenue-generating business units.
Hybrid working, Wolverhampton base.
Direct reporting line into senior leadership, with real influence over the product roadmap.
