Description
Homey converts inbound and referred enquiries into instructions through its conveyancing referral panel — and builds that referral network in the first place.
We're looking for a New Business Specialist to own the enquiry from first contact through to a clean hand-off, and to go out and win new referral partners (estate agents, mortgage brokers, and law firms for the panel) in the process.
You'll report to the Business Unit Manager for this part of Homey. Your KPI: enquiry-to-instruction conversion rate.
What you'll do
Answer every enquiry within SLA and keep chasing until you get a clear yes or no — nothing is left to go cold.
Build relationships with estate agents and mortgage brokers so they trust the referral process and keep sending work.
Recruit new law firms onto the panel, pitching the partnership and commercial terms.
Feed back what's winning and losing deals so the pitch keeps improving.
Hand off so cleanly the case team never has to ask "wait, what's going on with this one?"
What excellence looks like
No enquiry goes unanswered, and first response is fast enough it never goes cold.
Referral partners introduce you to other agents in their network because you're doing such a good job.
You spot which pitch, offer or process change would win more business — and push for it.
Requirements
Proven B2B sales or business development experience, ideally in legal services, financial services, insurance or property.
Genuine comfort on the phone and doing outbound outreach — this is a new-business hunting role, not just enquiry handling.
Sharp attention to detail; nothing gets promised in the sale that the delivery team has to walk back.
Resilience and a "keep going until I get a clear answer" mentality.
Benefits
Base £28,000–£38,000 plus uncapped commission — realistic first-year OTE £45,000–£60,000.
Clear, fast progression path into Account Management as you build a track record.
London hub with hybrid flexibility.
