What you will be doing:

  • Preparing and presenting desserts, pastries, breads, cakes and sweet items to a high standard
  • Supporting the creation of seasonal dessert menus and afternoon tea offerings
  • Producing pastry for restaurant service, weddings, events and private dining
  • Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, allergen awareness and kitchen safety
  • Managing stock, ordering, rotation and reducing waste within the pastry section
  • Keeping the pastry area clean, organised and ready for service
  • Working closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chefs and wider kitchen team and supporting junior team members where needed

Work week: 5 out of 7 days, 48 hours per week.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, Pastry Chef de Partie or strong Chef de Partie with pastry experience
  • A real passion for baking, desserts and presentation
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and allergen procedures
  • A positive, calm and organised approach during busy services
  • Creativity, attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
