You work individually with clients, one‑on‑one, providing a variety of non‑medical services that allows you to form relationships with seniors who desire to age in place in their own homes. Responsibilities:
- Social companionship
- Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry, and cooking meal preparation
- Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
- Standby assistance with transfers
- Overnight safety assistance
Qualifications:
- No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
- Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
- Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
- Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
- Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
- Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
- A compassionate heart for older adults
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
