We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Senior Carer to join our warm and friendly team at Silver Howe Care Centre, a well‑established care home committed to providing exceptional, person‑centred care to our residents. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents, ensuring their comfort and well‑being.

Duties:

  • Providing high‑quality personal care and support to residents
  • Leading by example and supervising care staff on shift
  • Writing and updating care plans and risk assessments
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals and family members
  • Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assisting with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Implementing care plans tailored to individual client needs, including behaviour management strategies
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient care and progress
  • Supporting residents with dementia care, ensuring a safe environment

Skills:

  • Experience in nursing home or similar care environments is highly desirable
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards)
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams
  • A caring, patient and respectful approach to others
  • Capability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

A full enhanced disclosure must be provided, the cost of this will be met by the employee. The shifts are worked across 12‑hour days/nights including a share of weekends. You will need to have the Right to Work in the UK, as we are NOT able to offer Health and Care Worker visas. The role is fixed term to cover maternity leave, initially until December 2026.
