The Role
Responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing and heating systems in residential and commercial properties in South Cornwall and Devon. Diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring compliance with local regulations and high-quality standards. Strong customer service, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential.
Responsibilities
- Removal of existing heating systems (safe decommission and removal of combi boilers)
- Unvented hot water cylinder installation
- Heat pump installation (air source and ground source)
- Heating controls set-up (S-Plan and Y-Plan)
- Radiators & pipework upgrades
- System testing, flushing, filling and commissioning
- Commitment to quality & customer care
- Travel across Cornwall & Devon (paid travel time included)
- Occasional overnight stays, compensated with enhanced pay
What we’re looking for
- NVQ Level 2 in plumbing and heating required; Level 3 desirable
- Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in plumbing and heating installations
- Solid understanding of domestic heating systems
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work within a team while maintaining high workmanship standards
