The Role
Join us as a Compliance Manager for Hometree Home Cover, where you will take ownership of compliance for this regulated insurance business. You will provide clear compliance advice, lead endâtoâend monitoring reviews and drive regulatory policy implementation, all while ensuring accurate reporting and leading change programmes. With senior stakeholder exposure in a highâgrowth fintech/greentech environment, you will work closely with an experienced General Counsel.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the compliance plan; map evolving rules (Consumer Duty, ICOBS, PROD, SYSC, SM&CR) to business processes; brief on impacts and drive timely change programmes.
- Improve and execute a proportionate compliant monitoring programme across sales, renewals, claims and complaints; track actions through to closure.
- Execute onboarding & annual training for customerâfacing teams; ensure controls maintain trust in business dealings.
- Lead the collation and submission of compliance MI, attestations and reports to our principal and insurers, ensuring accuracy, audit trail and onâtime delivery.
- Run annual certifications; maintain Statements of Responsibility & Conduct Rule training logs.
- Participate in new product design, pricing and marketing; identify conduct risks early and document ConsumerâDuty outcome testing.
- Model compliance behaviours; coach the firstâline and grow colleagues' compliance commitment and knowledge.
What We're Looking For
- Experienced compliance professional with 2â5 years of secondâline compliance in retail general insurance.
- Regulatory fluency across ICOBS, PRIN, SYSC, COCON, DISP, PROD and Consumer Duty framework.
- Proven ability to offer clear compliance advice, lead monitoring reviews and manage regulatory change.
- Strong communicator with firstâclass written and presentation skills.
- Skilled at balancing priorities, meeting deadlines and leading crossâfunctional teams in fastâpaced environments.
- Collaborative and adaptable; thrives in scaleâup settings and keen to dive into new areas.
- Creative trainer who brings compliance to life with engaging sessions, including for AR obligations.
- Problemâsolver who spots risks early and implements practical, businessâfriendly solutions.
