The Role
We’re looking for a proactive, results‑driven Installation Manager to lead successful delivery of renewable energy teams across residential, commercial and maintenance projects. The role involves close collaboration with the Head of Operations, Project teams, and installation staff. You should thrive in a team environment yet be capable of driving initiatives independently.
Responsibilities:
- Site Management & Supervision: Oversee daily operations, audits, and inspections to ensure renewable energy projects are completed on time, safely, and to high standards.
- Health, Safety & Compliance (QS Responsibilities): Act as Qualified Supervisor, enforcing regulations, certifications, and HSE protocols to maintain a strong safety culture.
- Workforce Management, Training & Upskilling: Lead teams, identify skills gaps, and implement training to develop technical expertise and professional growth.
- Resource & Project Efficiency: Allocate materials, equipment, and workforce effectively to maximise productivity, reduce waste, and maintain sustainability.
- Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: Ensure installations meet standards, mitigate risks, and continuously improve processes with new technologies.
What we’re looking for:
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Solar PV, battery storage, and EV systems, with proven experience in installation and maintenance.
- Team Leadership: Over 3 years of experience managing on‑site trades, motivating teams, and ensuring high‑quality project delivery.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while ensuring strict adherence to industry regulations and H&S standards.
- Supplier & Contract Management: Experienced in managing third‑party relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of services and materials.
- Professional Certifications: Holds relevant electrical and safety qualifications, including IOSH, City & Guilds, and NVQ certifications.
- Passion for Renewable Energy: Deep commitment to sustainability and driving clean energy initiatives, with a focus on impactful, eco‑friendly solutions.
- Exceptional Organisational Skills: Able to juggle multiple teams and reporting lines, prioritise tasks, and keep everything moving seamlessly.
