Hometree Group is seeking a Heating & Plumbing Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh, Scotland. The role is permanent and offers a salary between £22,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The Role
As a Heat Pump Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining ground and air source heat pumps, as well as the associated radiator and underfloor heating systems. You will have the opportunity to develop your expertise through quality on-the-job training, manufacturer training courses, and professional development qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Installation Assistance: Actively assist in the installation and commissioning of heat pump systems, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and best practices.
- Electrical Competence: Increase your knowledge of fundamental electrical principles related to heating and plumbing.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Gain a greater understanding of water regulations and low temperature heating systems.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all work aligns with company and legislative health and safety procedures.
- Training: Attend and complete all training courses to a high standard.
- Administration: Complete and return all required documentation as directed by the Senior Engineer / Installation Managers.
- General: Stay updated on best practices and technical developments; assist with project, service, and maintenance administration.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: Installing radiators, underfloor heating systems, cylinders, and plumbing pipework.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of Level 2 Plumbing, Heating or Heat Pump qualification from a recognised awarding body.
- CSCS or Similar H&S Qualification.
- Level 3 Plumbing, Heating or Heat Pump qualification from a recognised awarding body.
- Completion of relevant Heat Pump manufacturer installation courses.
- BPEC (or equivalent) GSHP or ASHP qualification.
- National Certification for Unvented Hot Water Systems: G3 qualification OR proven experience.
