The Role

You’ll join our Installations Team, working with a wide range of cutting-edge renewable technologies—including solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers, and low-carbon heating systems. Each day will bring new challenges as you install and commission systems that help customers move toward a cleaner, more sustainable future.

This field-based role covers Cornwall and Devon, giving you the chance to work across the South West. All travel time is paid, with occasional overnight stays when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Air Source Heat Pump Installations: Full electrical installations for air source heat pump systems.
  • Solar PV Wiring & Components: Solar PV system wiring, including inverters, isolators, and DC/AC layouts.
  • Battery Storage Systems: Installation and commissioning of battery systems such as Tesla, GivEnergy, and others.
  • Renewable System Commissioning: Install, test, and commission solar PV, battery systems, and EV chargers.
  • Heat Pump Support Wiring: Support heating installations with wiring for heat pumps and associated controls.
  • Fault Finding & Diagnostics: Conduct effective system fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with plumbing and heating teams on joint installations.
  • Certification & Compliance: Ensure all work is fully certified, documented, and compliant.
  • Customer & Office Communication: Maintain clear communication with customers and office teams.

What we’re looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition Qualified: 18th Edition wiring regulations certification.
  • Domestic Installation Experience: Experience working on domestic electrical installations.
  • Testing & Certification Knowledge: Good understanding of electrical testing and certification.
  • Extra Credit: Solar PV experience, Battery storage experience (Tesla, GivEnergy, SolarEdge, etc.), EV charger installation experience, Heat pump / heating controls wiring experience, ECS Gold Card.
