About the Role:
We’re looking for a proactive and results-driven QS to lead the successful delivery of renewable energy teams. From residential installations to large-scale commercial developments and ongoing maintenance services, you’ll play a key role in ensuring seamless execution from start to finish. In this fast-paced role, you’ll be working closely with our Operations manager, Project’s teams, and installation teams. We want someone who thrives in a team environment but also takes initiative to drive success and continuously develop their skills.
Responsibilities:
- Site Management & Supervision: Oversee daily site operations for renewable energy installations, ensuring work is completed to high-quality and safety standards. Conduct audits and site inspections to monitor progress, compliance, and adherence to technical specifications. Address and resolve on-site challenges efficiently to maintain project timelines and deliverables.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Act as the company’s Qualified Supervisor (QS), ensuring all installations comply with industry regulations, legal requirements, and certification standards. Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental protocols on-site, fostering a strong safety culture. Lead safety briefings, risk assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring compliance with HSE and renewable industry best practices. Maintain up-to-date documentation and certifications for compliance with MCS, NICEIC, or equivalent regulatory bodies.
- Workforce Management, Training & Upskilling: Identify skills gaps within the workforce and implement structured training and upskilling programs to improve technical expertise. Mentor and develop team members, promoting continuous professional growth in renewable energy technologies.
- Resource & Project Efficiency: Work with the project team to support effective allocation of materials, equipment, and workforce to optimise productivity and cost-effectiveness. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, minimise waste, and ensure sustainability in installations. Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of necessary resources.
- Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: Guarantee all installations meet technical and regulatory standards, ensuring seamless handover and compliance with warranties. Identify and mitigate potential risks, implementing proactive problem-solving strategies. Continuously assess and improve installation processes, incorporating new technologies and methods for enhanced performance.
