7.5t Lorry Driver Reports To: Distribution Manager Location: Duncrue Crescent Belfast Hours: 40 Hours per week (Monday to Friday 7am 4pm) Salary: OTE £32,720. Hourly rate £14.00, with monthly performance bonus potential £300, plus incentives (e.g. incentive for bed assembly). The Role Would you like to be part of a successful and rewarding business? The successful candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional service, while maintaining high standards and working in line with our Company values at all times. Main Accountabilities Delight our customers while following our REACH principles Ensure orders are wrapped, packed and tied in appropriately ensuring that products are delivered/collected in good condition Manage van helper, including and how they conduct themselves during deliveries and during interactions with customers e.g. pre-calls etc Maintain vehicle by performing daily checks reporting any issues, ensuring it is clean and presentable at all times Assess planned driver delivery routes, make informed decisions and take action as necessary e.g. due to adverse weather Drive courteously, within legal limits and driving hours according to tachograph and do not use phone while driving Take responsibility for success of the delivery including careful consideration of the placement of product throughout customers homes Report any accidents or incidents which may occur Maintain equipment The Candidate Professional manner Embrace the business Culture and Values Act with integrity and respect, help each other succeed, always be commercial, be brave, be decisive, continually improve, and celebrate success Communicate effectively with others including branches, customers, warehouse and customer care team while building rapport Consistently demonstrates positive energy, drive and a can do attitude Take ownership for vehicle, products and deliveries Demonstrate candour at all times Essential Criteria Must hold Category C licence, able to drive 7.5t lorry is essential Physically fit due to nature and volume of product (heavy lifting) Benefits Bonus and incentives based on performance Staff discount Smoke break exchange – allowing 1 extra day leave each year Length of service awards Enhanced Maternity/Paternity Schemes We reserve the right to enhance these criteria for the purpose of shortlisting, depending on the volume of applicants.
