HomeServe are currently recruiting for Water Supply Pipe Engineers to join our team in Slough. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours a week, including some evening, weekend, and bank holiday work.

Salary: Between £36,650 - £43,700 (includes location allowance) depending upon experience, plus a £1500 signing on bonus.

As part of your role with HomeServe, you will be:

  • Attending customers' properties
  • Identifying leaks on the water supply pipes
  • Excavating ground to fix pipes
  • Making the ground good once complete

Previous experience of identifying leaks, repairing, and laying water mains is essential. You must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather types.

As a Water Supply Pipe Engineer, you will represent the HomeServe brand and undertake the maintenance and repair work of mains water pipes in private domestic properties. You will provide industry-leading service aligned with our customer and people promises, helping us enhance our reputation and drive customer growth.

What you'll have:

  • Previous experience of identifying leaks, repairing, and laying water mains
  • Experience of working in all-weather types
  • Must hold a full UK driving license, with 6 or fewer penalty points
  • Ability to approach and resolve problems logically
  • Demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm for the task in hand
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience of working in an FCA regulated environment (desirable)
  • Ideally WIAPS and CCNSG or NVQ Level 2 (not essential)

  • Weeks 2-3: Buddied up with an experienced HomeServe Water Supply Pipe Engineer
  • Week 4: 3 days in Nottingham for additional training and support (accommodation paid where geographically appropriate)
