Join our Team as the Head of Brand & Content! HomeServe is looking for a dynamic, hands-on Head of Brand & Content who’s ready to get involved and drive real commercial impact across our insurance and subscription business lines. We need an experienced brand leader who thrives in a sales-heavy environment, understands how to turn insight into action, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to make things happen.

We work in a hybrid way, with a requirement to travel into our Walsall office at least twice a week to work with the team. Please note that travel to Agencies will also be required occasionally.
This role is accountable for developing and executing a brand strategy and activation, that gives HomeServe a compelling and competitive position in the market. Prioritising a direct response creative approach this role will play a fundamental part in driving the business to achieve its ambitious growth objectives through its insurance and expanding subscription business lines.
With ownership of consumer research and external insight, together with earned and owned marketing channels (Consumer PR, Influencers, Content and Social) this role works seamlessly with the broader Marketing teams - Acquisition & Growth and Digital Delivery teams to help inform strategy and drive integrated marketing success.
Furthermore, this role is responsible for developing a forward-thinking team, leveraging AI and automation to expand capacity, enhance capabilities, and enable a sustained focus on delivering growth.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead the evolution of the HomeServe consumer brand across insurance and subscription business lines. Grow familiarity, drive measurable customer response and fuel growth.
- Own and optimise the mix of earned and owned media channels (consumer PR, content, social, and Influencer) using cutting-edge strategies to support digital new customer growth.
- Build success in consumer PR to deliver cost-effective, high-impact campaigns that support brand awareness and support acquisition and growth initiatives.
- Drive creative excellence across all channels, overseeing our in-house studio and agency partners to deliver high-impact activations - with a consistent brand identity and tone of voice.
- Lead the use of automation and AI within the creative studio, expanding capacity, enhancing capabilities, and enabling sustained growth.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a multi-skilled team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, learning and adaptability to emerging technologies.
- Turn insight into action – use research and data to shape brand strategy and creative.
- Lead day-to-day relationships with agency partners across brand, creative, consumer PR and research to maximise output and internal teams to deliver integrated success.
- Ensure compliance and governance – do things right, every time. Uphold best-in-class governance, process innovation, and compliance with FCA, DPA, ICO, and ASA requirements.
- Be a custodian of our affinity partner brand guidelines to ensure that activity drives the best commercial return and linking in with partners where relevant, to expand the reach of PR campaigns.
- Collaborate across the business: Acquisition & Growth, Digital Delivery, Product, Compliance & Legal, and external agencies – to deliver integrated marketing success.
- Work in partnership with the Head of Digital Content & UX to drive integration across offline and digital channels, ensuring creative complements both the channel, content and Customer group to drive desired objective (acquisition, retention, engagement etc).
About You
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:
- Strong leadership experience, with a proven track record of developing high performing, multi-skilled teams that embrace AI and automation to maximise capacity.
- Experience in leading and developing direct-response led brands.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, with responsibility for creative output that adheres to regulatory guidelines.
- Expert in creative and integrated campaign development that deliver commercial return.
- Experience in using data, insights and market research to create and drive strategies and plans.
- Strategic thinker and planner.
- Excellent collaboration, communication and influencing skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Brand or Marketing.
- Experience of marketing in a Financial Services company.
