About the Role

Joining Homes for Support means becoming part of a supportive, ambitious team with a reputation for delivering high-quality care. Our homes operate under The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards, which guide everything we do from safeguarding to education to emotional wellbeing. You will have opportunities to:

Requirements

You don’t need experience in care to join us – just the right values and willingness to learn. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including those who have worked in education, youth work, hospitality, customer service, or any role that involves supporting people.

All staff complete a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare if they do not already hold it – we provide full support. Health and Social Care and other equivalent qualifications accepted.

Role

This role is both challenging and hugely rewarding. You will support children through difficult moments, celebrate their successes, and help create the routines and experiences that shape their future. No two days are the same. You will:

  • Support children and young people through difficult moments with patience, warmth, and consistency.
  • Build trusting relationships that help them feel safe, valued, and listened to.
  • Create positive experiences from shared meals to days out and everyday routines.
  • Work as part of a committed team to deliver therapeutic, child-centred care.
  • Develop skills, confidence, and resilience that will serve you throughout your career.

  • Two on, four off working pattern (an average of 10 shifts and 10 sleep-ins per month)
