Overview

At Homes for Support, we’re recruiting Children’s Support Workers to join our team across Crewe, supporting children aged 7–17 years in our 6-bed home and brand-new 2-bed sister home. We provide safe, nurturing, and therapeutic homes where children can heal, grow, and thrive. Our practice is rooted in PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) and Therapeutic Parenting, with a Senior Registered Manager leading the team, qualified to Level 5 and trained in “How to Build a Therapeutic Environment.”

Your role and responsibilities

  • Being a positive role model that children can trust
  • Supporting with day-to-day living, like cooking, mealtimes, and keeping the home safe and welcoming
  • Encouraging hobbies, play, and fun activities
  • Helping children attend school, appointments, and activities in the community
  • Driving and supporting travel to help children stay connected with family and friends
  • Listening, encouraging, and advocating for children’s voices to be heard
  • Every day is different, but you’ll be part of helping children achieve brighter futures

Your development journey

  • Start with a 12-week structured induction with mentoring and shadowing
  • Gain confidence during a further 12 weeks of practice
  • Enrol onto the funded Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, to be achieved within 2 years
  • Already qualified in a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care, or equivalent? You’ll receive an enhanced rate of pay from day one
