Homes for Students is one of the UK’s leading providers of student accommodation. We are currently looking for Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team based at Harrogate, working 25 hours per week, 9:30am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday. Working within the Universal Client Team, the accounts assistant will become the day-to-day contact for a number of staff members within our student accommodation properties and our investors and to our finance team, providing administrative support. Excellent communication skills, accuracy, efficiency, and an eye for detail are essential. Key Responsibilities Maintain work orders from property teams to refund rent and deposits Work closely with property teams to address any student account queries Process deposit bulk refunds and uploads Upload Invoices and Payments from the booking system to the financial system Create payment files through the Bank accounts Posting and reconciling of Month End Sales Recharges Bank account reconciliations Utilities invoices and payments Perform Internal audit sampling General Finance support Any Other AdHoc tasks as required The above outlines the main duties and responsibilities of the position, however, this cannot be comprehensive and other duties, as directed by the company and within the job holders capabilities may be required. Proven experience with spread sheets Good communications skills, both orally and in writing. Ability to successfully handle several priorities simultaneously, maintain composure in high pressure situations and maintain objectivity, focus and good judgment. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Excellent presentation, attention to detail and ability to complete tasks.
