Role: Commercial Finance Analyst
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm, 40 hours per week Hybrid working
Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a commercially minded and analytically driven Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Business Development team at VervLife. This role suits a finance professional with proven experience in commercial or property development finance who is ready to take ownership of strategic, high-impact initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial and commercial direction of our growing property development pipeline—building financial models, conducting market intelligence, and driving pricing strategy across multiple asset classes. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Modelling: Develop, review, and refine project financial models to support decision-making and investment appraisals.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct in-depth research across the Build to Rent (BTR), Co-Living, and Single Family Rental (SFR) sectors, ensuring data integrity and strategic relevance.
- Commercial Analysis: Evaluate current and prospective developments, integrating financial and non-financial metrics to provide actionable insights.
- Pricing Strategy: Lead pricing analysis and strategy development, collaborating with internal teams to optimise project profitability.
- Data Partnerships: Liaise with external data providers (including REalyse) to strengthen research capabilities and embed insights into the wider business strategy.
- Client Engagement: Support client-facing discussions with financial insights, including NOI analysis, budgeting, and investment strategy alignment.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 2-4 years' experience in commercial finance, property development, or a related analytical role.
- Technical Skills: Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities, with experience in pricing strategy and market research tools.
- Communication: Confident presenter with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Mindset: Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable—comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the BTR, Co-Living, or SFR sectors is highly desirable.
