Working in the team with Carl Moore (Head of Greater Manchester) and Claire Richards (Head of Liverpool City Region, Cheshire and Warrington), the Senior Partnership and Business Development Manager (12 month fixed-term contract - maternity cover) will play a critical role in the Markets Partners & Places (MPP) North West Team. You will be joining a highly experienced and skilled team who are focussed on unlocking tens of thousands of homes in sustainable, well-designed communities in support of local housing and regeneration ambitions through our Strategic Place Partnerships (SPPs).
We do this by supporting the coordination and delivery of complex, large-scale regeneration projects. We work collaboratively with local authorities, combined authorities, central Government and leading private sector partners. This is an exciting role providing the opportunity to participate in the North West's most transformational regeneration projects and work in partnership to meet housing need.
The team work on strategic projects requiring complex or multiple interventions to unlock delivery and drive projects forward. We also coordinate a range of interventions offered by Homes England meaning you will be at the heart of the Agency's capacity to support housing and regeneration.
Our role is to coordinate partnerships between the public and private sector to bring the required mix of capital, land, and delivery expertise to each project. We do this through our existing SPPs with Greater Manchester and Liverpool City Region Combined Authorities and the emerging partnership with Cheshire and Warrington. Our mission is to accelerate the delivery of high-quality homes in these locations, whilst also supporting economic growth through regeneration and placemaking.
Recent Projects Include:
- £56m infrastructure investment to unlock 2,350 new homes at Central Docks - the next phase of Liverpool Waters – in collaboration with Liverpool City Council and Peel Waters, with delivery in progress.
- Working in partnership with Wirral Borough Council and Liverpool City Region Combined Authority to secure £29m infrastructure funding and £22m sustainable transport funding to support delivery of the first phase of Hind St Urban Village at Wirral.
