About the role
This is an 18‑month fixed‑term contract in Compliance Audit. You will work closely with the team and Compliance Audit Senior Manager, Alan, and will need to travel to the Liverpool office regularly.
You will play a critical role in ensuring organisations receiving grant meet all of Homes England’s requirements and funding conditions. You will join an enthusiastic, friendly and highly skilled team committed to delivering first‑class customer service and an innovative approach to compliance across the Affordable Housing programme portfolio.

Responsibilities
- Design and deliver key elements of the compliance audit framework.
- Balance day‑to‑day delivery while introducing innovative solutions to risk management.
- Provide assurance that grant receivers meet all conditions and funding requirements.
- Communicate complex policy and regulatory guidance in clear, understandable language.
- Collaborate with team members, share knowledge and support a high‑performing culture.
Qualifications and experience
- Strong understanding of delivery processes and a willingness to deepen knowledge of the Capital Funding Guide (CFG) and other regulatory frameworks that support the Affordable Homes Programme (AHP).
- Familiarity with Homes England systems and processes, including grant conditions, CFG requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex policy into easily understandable language.
- Analytical mindset, keen attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities through multiple workstreams.
- Resilience, collaborative spirit and a proactive, inclusive approach to teamwork.
