Location: Can be based in any of the following offices: Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle or Northstowe.

A bit about the role: Working with the Head of Legal and Regulatory Compliance and the wider compliance team, the Senior Manager – Legal and Regulatory Compliance NHB will play a critical lead role in protecting the newly formed National Housing Bank. You will be joining our small but award-winning team of 3 people, who are committed to making a positive change in compliance. The team are dedicated to delivering a first-class service, taking an innovative and creative approach to maximising compliance benefits and coverage to reduce risk. We have a collaborative approach and foster an environment that promotes good individual decision making and problem solving. This is a rare chance to shape the future of compliance in the newly formed PuFin, the National Housing Bank, a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a professional team you will ensure efficient, comprehensive, and effective risk-based assurance to support the ambitions of the National Housing Bank. The role will lead on the design and delivery of the assurance plan with support from the wider team. A bit about you: You’ll be comfortable using your subject matter expertise to support the Head of Legal and Regulatory Compliance with complex legal and regulatory issues, assurance, and planning activity. You will be a proficient compliance or assurance expert, with demonstrable experience in PuFins or the banking sector. Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level, and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a compliance team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade. As an experienced compliance or assurance professional, you’ll understand how to manage key stakeholders and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
