The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.

Location can be any of the following: Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle or Northstowe.

Interview process: There will be a two stage interview process and you will be required to complete an online Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ) prior to second stage. The second stage interview will include a focus on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

A bit about the role: Working in a team with Ian Workman, our Chief National Officer and Amy Pritchard, our Director of Enterprise Portfolio and Change, both Programme Directors will play a critical role in delivering the Agency’s ambitious strategy. You will be joining our talented and passionate teams, who are committed to delivering a step change in critical capability for the Agency. Ian Workman and Amy Pritchard value diversity and promote strong collaboration across their respective teams, fostering effective problem solving and decision making. This is a rare chance to join us at a pivotal moment in shaping Homes England, a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with senior stakeholders across the Agency and MHCLG, both roles will deliver extensive changes that are essential to Homes England achieving its mission. Both roles will support the design and delivery of key strategic programmes. One Programme Director role will be responsible for transforming our existing Help to Buy model. The second Programme Director role will be responsible for driving Agency-wide operating model reform, including extensive systems and data change. Both programmes are ambitious and offer the right candidate the opportunity to be at the helm of exciting and rewarding deliveries.

About you: You’ll be comfortable leading large scale, complex transformation programmes and will be able to evidence a proven track record of delivering change effectively, with a positive and lasting impact. Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and will need to be able to negotiate and persuade effectively. As an experienced project delivery professional, you will be well‑versed at leading and building talented and diverse teams and creating the conditions for their success. Taking our teams with us on this journey is fundamental, as such you will be an exceptional communicator, capable of inspiring and motivating people towards a collective goal.

Whilst both Programme Director roles require common and core skills, we are seeking the following additional expertise for each role. Please make it clear in your supporting application which role you are applying for and align your expertise to the additional requirements outlined below.

  • Help to Buy: strong breadth of experience in public sector procurement, working with government financial products and the delivery of GDS compliant customer facing services.
  • Integrated Change programme: strong track record of delivering organisation‑wide operating models which include a heavy systems and data component.
