We are recruiting for 2 roles, x1 permanent role and x1 Fixed term contract for 12 months.

A bit about the role...

The North East, Yorkshire and Humber regional team leads Homes England’s delivery of major projects in priority places alongside overseeing the development of new opportunities and projects. We are the ‘front door’ to the agency; developing and maintaining relationships across the housing and regeneration sector and building pipelines of investable opportunities including larger, transformational interventions in towns and cities across our extensive geography.

Owing to an internal promotions, we have a vacancy for a full time Partnership and Business Development Officer working predominantly in the West and North Yorkshire team. You will be part of a team that works with partners throughout the region playing a leading role in promoting the Agency and the work we do. Our partners include local authorities, combined authorities, developers, major housebuilders, SMEs among others. You will work closely with a range of internal colleagues on all aspects of project development assisting with internal systems and processes and acting as a way finder on project administration.

We encourage officers to be involved with projects and lead their own housing and regeneration projects with the support of the wider team. Previous role holders have worked on discreet pieces of work on their own initiative building core workstreams across the region.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be a people person who is resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at all levels, you may have some existing knowledge of the housing and regeneration sector. Our officers are a core support for team members. They are ‘can do’ people who are naturally curious about how housing and regeneration can change places and change lives. They undertake research, analysis, administration and project management. It is a varied role – one day you could be tasked with a time-sensitive data administration task; the next you could be working as part of the team making the case for a major regeneration project. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.
