Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of the Capital Projects, this senior role will lead and manage the delivery of enabling and infrastructure contracts to support the delivery of residential led development projects, working alongside other planning and technical specialists to support the acquisition, de-risking, unlocking and disposal of land. Working in the Capital Projects team, this role will provide technical advice and design, commissioning, and contract management to ensure the delivery of enabling and infrastructure works contracts to unlock and accelerate housing delivery. Working with key stakeholders and professional teams you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective technical advice is provided across a portfolio of development sites.
This role requires significant experience in managing and delivering construction engineering solutions and works contracts to support residential development. Experience of designing, planning, commissioning and managing the delivery of enabling and infrastructure works contracts including demolitions, highways, drainage and utilities to unlock residential development sites is essential.
Qualifications
A bit about you… You’ll be comfortable supporting several projects with complex technical issues, finding cost effective solutions to unlock and deliver enabling and infrastructure works contracts to facilitate housing led developments. You will be proficient across a range of technical issues and experienced in procuring and managing consultants to achieve technical designs, solutions, cost budgets to support capital works contracts. You will be able to critically review technical documents to identify risks and potential development issues and propose appropriate mitigation strategies and provide technical quality assurance regarding content and price. You will have experience in procuring and managing capital works contracts. Taking the lead in drafting and reviewing technical scopes, works information and tender documents for enabling works (including demolition, remediation, earthworks, site clearance and temporary works) and infrastructure works (including highways, drainage, utilities, structures, landscape and ecological mitigation) to support residential led development.
