A bit about the role...

Working alongside our Assistant Director – People Development, this role will play a key part in shaping and delivering our Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) agenda. You will be joining a collaborative, experienced team who are passionate about making a positive difference to colleague experience, capability and organisational performance. The team are focused on delivering a high-quality, practical and customer‑focused L&OD offer working closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned to business need and deliver real impact. We encourage a collaborative, flexible approach and value different perspectives to drive strong decision making and continuous improvement. This is a great opportunity to shape the future of L&OD in a national organisation with a clear social purpose. Working with senior leaders and stakeholders across the business, you will play a key role in ensuring our approach is consistent, impactful and aligned to organisational priorities. The role will lead and support the design and delivery of key strategic L&OD priorities, including leadership development, capability building and organisational change. You’ll have the opportunity to balance day‑to‑day delivery with driving forward innovative solutions that enhance our overall L&OD offer.

A bit about you…

You will be confident operating at a senior level, supporting leaders with complex organisational and people development challenges and providing clear, pragmatic advice. You will bring strong experience in L&OD, with the ability to translate strategy into practical, high‑impact delivery. You will be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, managing competing priorities and engaging effectively with senior stakeholders. You will have a strong understanding of organisational context and be able to balance strategic thinking with delivery focus. Resilient and collaborative in your approach, you will build strong relationships, influence with credibility, and bring others with you. As an experienced L&OD professional, you will demonstrate inclusive leadership, a proactive mindset and a clear commitment to continuous improvement.
