We are recruiting for 2 roles. A bit about the role... Working in the team with Data Engineers, the Senior Data Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the Azure Data Platform. You will be joining our highly skilled and experienced team of data professionals, who are committed to making Homes England a data‑led organisation. This is a rare chance to shape the future of the Data Platform in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose.
Working with key stakeholders and a multidisciplinary team you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective resolution of data engineering and platform challenges while playing a central role in designing and building a scalable, reliable and future‑proof data platform. The role will support the design and delivery of key strategic projects. There are some exciting and ambitious projects to get involved with and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst implementing innovative solutions.
A bit about you… You will be able to design and deliver pipelines to copy data from various sources, transform this data based on the requirements of the analysis and business teams and present this data in an accessible and consistent way. To deliver this, you will be able to work with cloud technologies (e.g. Azure), and have a good level of coding skills (e.g. Python, PySpark, SQL).

You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level, and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a Data Platform team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade. As an experienced Data professional you’ll understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
