About the role... You will be joining our experienced Housing and Infrastructure Grant Transactions team as part of the wider Housing and Infrastructure Grant team. We are committed to making a positive impact by funding infrastructure to unlock new homes and residential mixed‑use developments, supporting growth and regeneration.
Working in a team with our current Heads of Infrastructure Grant Transactions, the Housing and Infrastructure Grant Transaction Manager will play a critical role in supporting the development of our pipeline of transactions, supporting senior managers through the due diligence, contracting and approval process for grant funded propositions across the Country. The team believes in working in a collaborative, flexible and supportive manner, resolving issues informally wherever possible.
Working with key stakeholders and a multi‑skilled professional team, you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective progression of projects through approval stages and support in the agreement of grant funding agreements with partner organisations. This is an excellent opportunity to support housing delivery working in a national organisation with real social purpose.
The Housing and Infrastructure Grant Transactions team is dedicated to delivering a considered and measured approach to projects, applying innovation and creativity to housing and infrastructure grant issues. The team values diversity in experience and perspective and working in a collaborative/flexible way, to foster good decision making and problem solving.
The role will support grant recipients with the structuring of their funding requests of a wide range of projects ranging from small to large and complex regeneration and strategic projects around England. As we launch the National Housing Delivery Fund, there are exciting, ambitious and rewarding projects to get involved with and this is an excellent opportunity to join the team working closely with colleagues across the Agency and with partners.
About you… You will be comfortable travelling, and supporting the development of a pipeline of projects, working in close collaboration with other departments within Homes England and externally with partners, supporting the preparation of business cases, undertaking due diligence, obtaining approvals and assisting with contracting grant opportunities.

You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a Housing and Infrastructure Grant Transactions team. As an experienced development professional with experience of residential or mixed‑use development, project viability and cashflows, cost analysis and deliverability, you will understand how to collaborate with colleagues and partners whilst demonstrating how to drive projects forward.
