About the role
We're looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Events and Engagement Officer
to join our Market Engagement team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a diverse programme of
high-profile conferences, stakeholder engagements and employee events that support
our strategic objectives and strengthen relationships across the housing, regeneration
and investment sectors.
The Market Engagement team is responsible for building and maintaining relationships
with the organisations, partners and stakeholders that help us deliver our mission.
Through events, engagement activity and stakeholder communications, the team helps
connect industry, investors, public sector partners and government with our work and
priorities.
As Events and Engagement Officer, you'll help plan and deliver a range of national and
regional events, creating opportunities to showcase our impact, share insight, support
collaboration and strengthen relationships across the sector.
This is a varied and fast-paced role, offering the opportunity to work with senior leaders,
external stakeholders and colleagues across Homes England and the National Housing
Bank. You'll be involved in some of the sector's highest-profile events, including
supporting our presence at UKREiiF, Homes England Live and MIPIM, alongside
stakeholder roundtables, regional engagement events, conferences and internal
colleague events.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of internal and external events, conferences and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Manage event logistics, ensuring events are delivered professionally, efficiently and in line with organisational policy objectives.
- Manage external speaking engagements and engagement activity across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain planning tools, event guidance and delivery documentation.
- Support the management of event budgets and supplier relationships, ensuring value for money and high-quality outcomes.
- Act as an ambassador for the Agency, building strong relationships with colleagues and external partners including Events Organisers.
- Support senior colleagues before, during and after events, ensuring a seamless experience for participants.
- Evaluate event performance, gathering insights and recommendations to improve future activity.
- Help develop consistent approaches, processes and tools for event delivery across the organisation.
- Produce reports, briefings and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to ensure engagement activity delivers against organisational priorities.

You’ll be a proactive and organised individual who enjoys bringing people together and
delivering exceptional experiences.
You’ll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working to deadlines and building
productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll have strong attention
to detail, excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach that helps teams
work effectively together.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience coordinating events, conferences and engagement activities.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Experience managing suppliers, venues and event logistics would be advantageous.
- Experience using CRM, stakeholder management or event management systems would be beneficial.
