CONTRACT MANAGER ANALYST
Application closing date: 15th November 2026
Interviews will take place: Week commencing 23th November 2026
A bit about the role...
Working in a team lead by Paul Northey, our Head of Contract Management, the Contract Manager Analyst will play a critical role in helping the Agency manage our contracts with housing developers to oversee delivery of a wide range of fantastic housing projects. The Contract Management team is a well-established group of skilled contract specialists who are committed to making positive changes in ensuring contractual obligations are maintained whilst at the same time as building and maintaining excellent relationships with our network of housing development partners.
Paul believes in delivering a first-class customer service, resolving challenges informally wherever possible, taking an innovative and creative approach to provide robust data management. Paul believes in working in a collaborative and flexible way to foster good decision making and problem solving within their team.
The Contract Manager Analyst will be continuously supported and play a very important role in the team, combining excellent MS Excel skills and interpretation of legal requirements to produce overage forecasts required for Agency budget preparation. Additionally, the role will include reviewing and approving important plot completion documentation to facilitate the legal transfer of our land to new homeowners.
The Contract Management team oversees the appointment of external Compliance Inspectors, an important supporting function for the Agency, and the role will include involvement in and ultimately management of procurement processes of these consultants.
As your knowledge and skills develop, you will be introduced to more technical elements of the Contract Management function and encouraged to expand your involvement with a view to progressing into more senior roles should you aspire to do so.
Whilst not compulsory, you will be encouraged to visit our sites to see housing development progress first hand, where you will gain experience of the challenges and ways of working of the housing construction industry.
Collaboration is a critical element of this role, as the Analyst Contract Manager will need to be able to liaise between people and teams within the Agency as necessary, as well as provide a critical interface to external parties such as consultants and developers.
A bit about you…
The Contract Manager Analyst will be very comfortable in working with spreadsheets, using formulae and working through sometimes complicated contract wording (the team will always be available to provide support); all these skills combine to help the Agency produce important financial forecasts.
You will need to be highly organised, methodical, and have the skills to communicate with a wide variety of specialists, all required to succeed in this role.
You will be encouraged to share your ideas where you see an opportunity for change or improvement, which will naturally follow your ability to learn about and understand existing protocols and ways of working.
You will be comfortable with being on construction sites in an observational capacity and be able to adhere to site rules established by the site manager.
Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as team responsible for the management of contracts. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.
