Salary: £27,906 per annum, £44.86 per sleep-in, £1,400 annual attendance bonus

Shift Pattern: 2 days on, 4 days off (includes long days and sleep-ins)

As a Youth Support Worker, you'll be part of a team that creates a safe, stable, and nurturing home where children aged 8-18 can begin to heal and thrive.

What you'll do:

  • Keep children safe safeguarding their wellbeing and helping them feel protected and cared for.
  • Be a role model showing what healthy boundaries, routines, and relationships look like.
  • Support daily life helping with school, meals, activities, and bedtime routines.
  • Encourage growth celebrating progress, introducing new experiences, and helping children build life skills.
  • Stay steady in tough moments offering calm, compassionate support when emotions run high.
  • Work as part of a team collaborating with colleagues, social workers, and health professionals to ensure each child's needs are met.
  • Help with record-keeping, contribute to care plans, and ensure that every child's voice is heard in decisions about their life.

What we're looking for:

  • You don't need experience in residential care, we'll provide full training.
  • Has a full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Can commit to a 2 on / 4 off shift pattern, including sleep-ins.
  • Is willing to complete a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare.
  • Brings a calm, positive approach to difficult situations.
  • Believes in the potential of every child, even when they're struggling to see it themselves.
  • Experience in care settings is a bonus, but not essential.
