We are currently looking to employ a full time, Senior Service Co-ordinator to work within our care leavers team in Northampton. Are you able to listen, support and navigate in areas such as housing, employment support and day to day life skills? Are you able to lead and support a staff team in order to run an efficient and effective service? Vacancy: As a Senior Service Support Co-ordinator, you will work as part of our care leavers team in Northampton, NN1, which provide supported accommodation services for young people aged between 17 21.Reporting to the Service Manager, you will provide e ffective management and supervision of staff to achieve positive outcomes for the young people who live at the service, providing 24/7 onsite support. Hours of work / shifts: You will be contracted to work 40 hours per week . The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Whilst there is more flexibility for the seniors to work more 9-5pm, there is also an expectation for seniors to cover shifts when staff members are off or sick or on leave.Shifts operate from 0800 2000 and 2000 0800. The Role: As a Senior Service Support Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for: Providing a full administrative service so that the needs of the functional/departmental team are met Maintain effective work systems, ensuring that all correspondence and documentation is dealt with in a professional manner that meets audit requirements Maintain comprehensive forms and documentation required by the function/department so that it is available when required Collate, produce and distribute regular and ad-hoc statistics and reports so that individuals and departments receive accurate up to date information Facilitate key work session with young people to achieve required outcomes against their pathway/ care plan. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people based at provision, carrying out daily health and safety checks and monitoring visitors Work directly with the young people in supporting them to gain the skills to carry out practical tasks, ensuring young people take responsibility for hygiene, day to day chores and preparing meals Line manage and supervise staff Provide cover for shifts in the absence of Service Support Co-Ordinator Ensure the protection and safeguard the wellbeing of the young people in our care What Youll Bring Preferably have a minimum of 12 months experience working with children and young people or in a care setting, however, this is not essential. Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of young people. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
