We're not looking for someone to just fill a role. We're looking for someone to push boundaries and help shape what's next.
About the job
There's enough safe work in the world already. Brands that blend in. Campaigns that are forgotten as quickly as they're seen. Design that's polished but says very little. We believe great design should do more. Design is power and is needed today more than ever. And we're looking for someone who believes the same. That's why we are on the hunt for a Senior Designer who sees creativity as more than craft. Someone with curiosity and the confidence to push ideas further. Someone who cares as much about why the work exists as how it looks.
MadeBrave is a global brand and creative agency. We build brave brands worth believing in. We believe creativity can change things. We treat design as a driver of culture, not a colour palette. And we need a Senior Designer who shares that conviction, and can show it, as it already lives in the work they make.
What we need you to be:
- Culturally switched-on and obsessed with craft
- Someone who feels where the culture is moving before it arrives.
- Who sweats the detail and pushes the concept.
- Who knows the rules and knows exactly when to break them.
- You create work with a clear point of view.
- More than just beauty, there is a story, a system, a glue that holds it all together.
- You don't just make things look good, you make them matter.
- AI isn’t a buzzword to you; it’s embedded in your day-to-day process.
- Social isn't a checkbox; it's a world you live in, and genuinely love working on.
- A passion for how brands show up.
- You're ambitious, curious, and fearlessly creative.
- A self-starter who's also a natural teammate.
- You hold strong opinions loosely and do the hard work without being asked.
- You push for better, want to leave your mark and go beyond the ask.
- And most importantly, you have something to say.
The role
As Senior Designer, you will take ownership of complex design projects, mentor junior creatives, and deliver exceptional work across multiple channels. You will work closely with our Creative Director, Account Directors, and clients to develop compelling visual solutions that drive business results. This is not just an execution role - you will be involved from concept through to delivery, contributing strategic thinking, creative ideas, and craft excellence. You will help shape our creative output and raise the bar for design quality across the agency.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead design projects from concept through to final delivery.
- Develop creative concepts that solve client briefs and business challenges.
- Create high-quality design work across brand identity, campaigns, print, and digital.
- Translate complex information into compelling visual narratives.
- Ensure all work meets brand guidelines and quality standards.
- Present creative work confidently to internal teams and clients.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the Creative Director to shape creative direction.
- Collaborate with Account Directors, strategists, and copywriters.
- Partner with external suppliers (photographers, illustrators, printers, developers).
- Participate in client meetings and presentations.
- Respond constructively to feedback and iterate designs effectively.
- Communicate design rationale clearly to stakeholders.
Mentorship & Creative Standards:
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance on design work.
- Champion high creative standards across all projects.
- Share knowledge and skills with the wider team.
- Help develop junior team members through coaching and development if required.
Project Management & Delivery:
- Manage your own workload and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
- Deliver projects on time and to budget.
- Communicate proactively about timelines, challenges, and dependencies.
- Maintain organized files and design systems.
- Ensure artwork is production-ready for print and digital.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years experience in a design role within a creative agency or in-house team.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and craft excellence.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Experience across brand identity, print, and digital design.
- Excellent typography, layout, and composition skills.
- Strong conceptual thinking - you can develop ideas, not just execute them.
- Confident presenting and articulating design decisions.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- The right mindset: passionate, ambitious, curious, and hungry to develop and create brave work.
- AI tools are part of your daily workflow, not for show.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple projects.
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
- Bring your whole weird self to work, every day.
The desirables:
- Experience in financial services or B2B sector.
- Motion graphics or animation skills (After Effects).
- UX/UI design experience.
- Web design knowledge (Figma, basic HTML/CSS understanding).
- Experience mentoring or managing junior designers.
- Understanding of brand strategy and positioning.
- A passion for other creative expressions like photography, copywriting, animation and beyond.
