Clinical Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit highly motivated and dynamic individuals to join our growing Peri-operative team at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

We are seeking Band 3 Clinical Support Workers to work across:

  • Theatres
  • Pre-Assessment
  • Surgical Wards

As part of our expansion, we are opening two brand-new theatres in our New Elective Centre – making this a fantastic time to join our service and develop your career.

What We\’re Looking For

Main duties of the job

You will assist with patient hygiene needs, toileting, nutritional intake, assisting patients with their mobility and physical comfort and monitoring and recording vital signs.

You will have good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work using your own initiative as well as working as part of a team.

In conjunction with registered staff, you\’ll contribute to the assessment of patient\’s activities of daily living and the care required.

Education / Qualifications

  • Functional Skills or GSCE Math\’s and English or equivalent
  • Care Certificate
  • Relevant competency based workbooks or equivalent relevant experience to vocational qualification level 3 and Essential Skills for Clinical Support Workers

Skills/ Abilities

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Able to concentrate for clinical and personal care procedures of predictable and unpredictable nature including emergency situations.
