This is a training post designed to give the trainee the experience and knowledge to qualify and work as a Pharmacy Technician, serving as a stepping stone to a wider career in Pharmacy. The apprentice is supported throughout training and work experience, and with support, will learn to complete a range of tasks within timescales to a competent standard.
You will undertake and complete the Level 3 NVQ in pharmacy services.
This will involve working with an assessor to develop a work-based portfolio, undertaking work-based assessments, completing all assignments/projects related to the NVQ units, and presenting evidence portfolios for assessment within specified time frames.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, including working Saturdays, Bank Holidays, and Late Duty as per the rota.
Main Duties Include:
- Participate in the dispensing process, including labelling, assembling, and preparing prescriptions.
- Participate in the daily Rolling Stock Take process.
- Work on pharmacy reception as required, taking in prescription requests.
- Process incoming orders, check orders against delivery notes, return incorrect items to suppliers, and put stock away with good stock rotation.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the Pharmacy department and participate in late duties, Saturday, bank holidays, and other duties as per rota.
