Fabricator / Welder

Overview Homer Burgess Ltd, part of RSK Group, is a family-run mechanical engineering company founded in 1958 and based in Dumfries, Scotland. We offer design, fabrication, installation, repair and maintenance services and provide bespoke engineering solutions to our clients. We are hiring a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join the team in Dumfries, Scotland . The successful candidate will carry out fabrication and welding procedures to manufacture components to specification and will comply with our commercial, quality and safety procedures. Key Responsibilities The manufacture of components in accordance with customer requirements. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and works instructions. Ensuring the most efficient methods of manufacture are applied. Quality control – self-inspection of own work in accordance with the company QMS. Quality control – final inspection of manufactured components as stipulated by the management team. Health TIG welding experience would be beneficial. Capable of working to tight fabrication tolerances. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet. Supportive of company QM
