In this role, you will be responsible for creating and modifying technical drawings using CAD software, assisting in the design and development of mechanical engineering projects. Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, detailed 2D & 3D CAD models and technical drawings for client approval, manufacturing, installation, and as-built documentation.
- Interpret technical specifications, customer-supplied drawings, and sketches to develop accurate designs.
- Collaborate closely with tradespersons, engineers, and clients to ensure drawings align with project requirements.
- Produce and maintain all project-related technical documentation.
- Conduct site surveys and accurately translate findings into technical models and drawings.
- Review and check drawings for accuracy, ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and specifications.
Person Requirements
- Proven experience as a CAD Technician in a mechanical engineering, fabrication, or machining environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to tight deadlines and last‑minute updates.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of working across all levels of the business.
