Overview

A lovely young family in Weybridge is looking for an experienced Nanny Housekeeper to join them on a permanent, part-time basis.

The family have a 2.5-year-old daughter and are expecting their second child in November. They are looking for someone who is genuinely experienced and confident in both childcare and housekeeping and who enjoys the variety of a true Nanny Housekeeper role.

The family are flexible about how the approximately 20 hours per week are structured, with Monday required and the remaining days flexible across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. They are happy to consider afternoons across three or four days, or a combination of full and shorter days, depending on the right candidate

This is a hands-on position combining childcare with the day-to-day housekeeping and organisation of the family home. The family will retain their regular cleaners to provide additional cleaning support, but the Nanny Housekeeper will still have an active housekeeping role, helping to keep the whole home clean, tidy, organised and running smoothly.

Housekeeping will include day-to-day cleaning and tidying throughout the home, family laundry, changing beds, household organisation, keeping the kitchen in order, helping with cooking and food preparation, and generally noticing and taking care of what needs to be done.

Mum is at home and the Nanny Housekeeper will work alongside her, providing a flexible combination of childcare and housekeeping support according to the family's needs. Initially, following the arrival of the new baby, there is likely to be a greater emphasis on practical household support alongside helping with the children.

Their daughter attends nursery Tuesday to Thursday from 8:30am-3:00pm, providing time on those days to focus on the housekeeping and household tasks. As the baby grows, the family expect the role to develop towards greater involvement with both children's care, learning and development.

The family are therefore looking for someone with strong experience of babies and young children who genuinely enjoys children's development, play and activities, but who is equally happy undertaking the practical housekeeping required to keep a busy family home running smoothly.
